Slow Cooker Beef Stew Recipe

How’s the weather for your neck of the woods? It’s bitterly cold here-it felt like -10 this morning when my poor husband left for art work, and we’re expecting a wonderful first price snow typhoon this weekend. Obviously that’s the time of 12 months to include delicious comfort foods that warms you from the inner out! That’s exactly what this Slow Cooker Beef Stew is-flavorful, hearty, and cooked to perfection!

This recipe is just a bit bit further hard work intensive on the front end than most of my gradual cooker recipes then again I promise you that it’s price it for that further style it supplies. All discussed and carried out it’s not up to 20 minutes of prep and then forget about it until meal time!

Ingredients:

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic (about 4 cloves)
  • part yellow onion, diced
  • 1 cup carrots, sliced
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1.Five lbs stew meat (kabob decrease meat works as well)
  • red pepper
  • 1/4 cup dry red wine
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 4 cups crimson meat stock

Instructions:

Cut potatoes into bite dimension pieces and place throughout the bottom of a gradual cooker. In a large skillet heat vegetable oil on medium top heat. Add rosemary and thyme and get ready dinner for 30 second. Add garlic, onion, and carrots and continue to organize dinner, stirring incessantly, for 5 minutes. Add meat and liberally season with salt and pepper along with red pepper flakes. Continue to organize dinner until browned on all sides, about ten minutes.

Meanwhile melt butter in a small bowl, whisk together butter and flour. Add mixture to skillet and stir well to coat meat. Pour contents of the skillet over the potatoes throughout the gradual cooker. Add wine to the skillet and get ready dinner for 1 minute while scraping the pan to deglaze. Pour wine over meat in gradual cooker. Add crimson meat broth to the gradual cooker and get ready dinner on top heat for Five-6 hours. Ten minutes forward of serving add peas.
