Nutrition data

  • 1 cup “fed” sourdough starter
  • 1 half of cups lukewarm water
  • 2 teaspoons rapid yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 half of teaspoons salt
  • five cups King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour

  • eight oz. “fed” sourdough starter
  • 12 oz. lukewarm water
  • 2 teaspoons rapid yeast
  • half of ounce sugar
  • 2 half of teaspoons salt
  • 21 1/four oz. King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour

  • 227g “fed” sourdough starter
  • 340g lukewarm water
  • 2 teaspoons rapid yeast
  • 14g sugar
  • 2 half of teaspoons salt
  • 602g King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour

  1. Combine all the substances, kneading to shape a clean dough.
  2. Allow the dough to upward push, in a flippantly greased, lined bowl, till it is doubled in dimension, about 90 mins.
  3. Gently divide the dough in part; it is going to deflate reasonably.
  4. Gently form the dough into two oval loaves; or, for longer loaves, two 10″ to 11″ logs. Place the loaves on a flippantly greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover and let upward push till very puffy, about 1 hour. Towards the top of the emerging time, preheat the oven to 425°F.
  5. Spray the loaves with lukewarm water.
  6. Make two quite deep diagonal slashes in every; a serrated bread knife, wielded firmly, works smartly right here.
  7. Bake the bread for 25 to 30 mins, till it is a very deep golden brown. Remove it from the oven, and funky on a rack.
