Ingredients

  • 1 half of cups riced potatoes, or leftover mashed potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 huge eggs, separated
  • 1/four cup (four tablespoons) butter or three tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 half of cups King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • three tablespoons minced chives or scallions, non-compulsory
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked, crumbled, non-compulsory

  • 11 1/four oz. riced potatoes, or leftover mashed potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 huge eggs, separated
  • 2 oz. butter or 1 1/four ounce vegetable oil
  • 16 oz. buttermilk
  • 6 1/four oz. King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • three tablespoons minced chives or scallions, non-compulsory
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked, crumbled, non-compulsory

  • 319g riced potatoes, or leftover mashed potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 huge eggs, separated
  • 57g butter or 35g vegetable oil
  • 454g buttermilk
  • 177g King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • three tablespoons minced chives or scallions, non-compulsory
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked, crumbled, non-compulsory

Instructions

  1. Preheat the waffle iron in line with its instructions.
  2. In a medium-sized blending bowl, mix the potato, salt, egg yolks and butter or oil, mashing and combining till the mix is lump-free. (A blender or meals processor will do the task in a couple of seconds in case your potatoes are very lumpy.)
  3. Beat within the buttermilk.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk in combination the flour, baking powder, baking soda, chives or scallions, and the crumbled bacon.
