Pasta with cauliflower, toasted bread crumbs, cheese and a mysterious aspect… anchovies.

You don’t suppose you prefer anchovies? Don’t go away them out! They actually give this straightforward dish a phenomenal savoriness, no longer fishy in any respect. You’d be stunned what number of of your favourite Italian dishes have anchovies in them.

This recipe was once tailored from my Sicilian buddy Julia, from Julia’s Healthy Italian Cooking. She has a present of whipping up scrumptious Italian foods in mins!

  • 12 ozspaghetti (Ronzoni Smart Taste or complete wheat)
  • 1 massive head cauliflower, more or less chopped (about three cups)
  • three half tsp further virgin olive oil
  • third cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs (I used complete wheat)
  • five anchovies
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 6 tbsp Pecorino Romano cheese
  • half cup chopped parsley

Boil pasta in salted water in line with instructions for al dente. Drain pasta, booking 1 cup water.

Meanwhile, steam cauliflower (or boil) till comfortable. Set apart.

Add half teaspoon of oil to a small frying pan and toast breadcrumbs, cautious to not burn. Set apart.

In a big frying pan sauté anchovies in ultimate tablespoon of olive oil till they start to dissolve. Add onions and cook dinner on medium warmth till golden. Add steamed cauliflower and blend smartly.

Toss pasta with parsley, cheese, cauliflower, half cup of reserved pasta water, (extra if wanted) and season with salt and pepper to style.

Divide frivolously between 6 plates. Top with toasted bread crumbs and serve. Enjoy!!
