Dough

  • three cups King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 half teaspoons fast yeast
  • 1 half teaspoons sugar
  • 1 1/four teaspoons salt
  • 1 huge egg
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • three/four cup lukewarm water

Topping

  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 2 tablespoons poppy or sesame seeds

Dough

  • 12 three/four oz. King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 half teaspoons fast yeast
  • 1 half teaspoons sugar
  • 1 1/four teaspoons salt
  • 1 huge egg
  • 1 ounce unsalted butter, softened
  • 6 oz. lukewarm water

Topping

  • half ounce milk
  • five/eight ounce poppy or sesame seeds

Dough

  • 361g King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 half teaspoons fast yeast
  • 1 half teaspoons sugar
  • 1 1/four teaspoons salt
  • 1 huge egg
  • 28g unsalted butter, softened
  • 170g lukewarm water

Topping

  • 14g milk
  • 18g poppy or sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Mix, then knead in combination the entire dough components — by means of hand, stand mixer, or within the bucket of a bread gadget programmed for the dough cycle — to make a clean, supple dough.
  2. Transfer the dough to a calmly greased bowl or dough-rising bucket, quilt the bowl or bucket, and make allowance the dough to upward thrust till noticeably puffy, about 1 hour.
  3. Gently deflate the dough, and switch it to a calmly greased paintings floor. Divide the dough into six equivalent items. Shape the items into spherical balls, and position them on a calmly greased or parchment-lined baking sheet.

  6. Turn the rolls cut-side up. Dip their tops in milk, and coat with poppy or sesame seeds, if desired.
  7. Bake the rolls for 15 to 17 mins, or till they are golden brown and really feel gentle to touch. Remove them from the oven, and funky on a rack.
  8. Serve rolls heat, or at room temperature. Store leftover rolls, smartly wrapped, at room temperature for a few days; freeze for longer garage.
