Preamble: You can make many kinds of jerky: beef, venison, fish, etc.! So use this recipe (it requires a dehydrator) and adapt it to make your own jerky creations! Requires 8 hours of marinating, meat tenderizer and liquid smoke.

Cooking Time: 4 hrs
Total: 4 hrs 20 mins

Ingredients for this recipe for 10 people:

2 lb. (900g) beef round steak,
2 tbsp. (30g) brown sugar,
1/4 c. (6cl) soy sauce,
2 tbsp. (3cl) liquid smoke,
2 tbsp. (3cl) Worcestershire sauce,
2 tsp. (16g) salt,
1 tsp. (8g) paprika,
1 tsp. (8g) onion powder,
1 tsp. (8g) garlic powder,
1 tsp. (8g) pepper,
1 tsp. (8g) meat tenderizer

How To Make Jerky from scratch:
Cut the beef into thin strips. If you cut against the grain, it makes it easier to eat once dried.
Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl and then add the meat to the bowl, making sure that it is completely covered by the mixture. Place in the refrigerator to marinate for 8 hours.
After it has marinated, lay the meet between two layers of plastic wrap and pound the meat so that it is 1/8 inch thick.
Lay the meat in the dehydrator and dry it on the highest setting for 4 hours.
