Preamble: Have bananas that are a little too ripe or are becoming brown and spotted? Banana bread is the perfect solution. An easy recipe to stop your bananas from going to waste! You’ll need a 4 by 8 inch loaf pan.

Ingredients for this recipe for 6 people:
2 or 3 ripe bananas,
1 ½ c. (200g) + 1 tbsp. flour ,
1 c. (200g) sugar,
1 tsp. baking soda,
1/3 c. (75g) + 1 tsp. butter,
1 tsp. vanilla extract,
Pinch of salt
How To Make Banana Bread from scratch:
In a small bowl, mix the 1 1/2 c. flour, baking soda and salt.
Peel the bananas and mash in a mixing bowl using a hand masher or a fork. Add the 1/3 cup of butter (melted) and mix well.
Mix the sugar into the banana mixture. Add the egg (beaten) and the vanilla.
Little by little, add the flour mixture to the banana mixture.
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Use the 1 teaspoon of butter to butter the bottom of the loaf pan and then use the 1 tbsp. of flour to lightly flour it, tapping it around to cover the bottom of the pan, discarding any left over.
Pour the batter into the floured pan.
Place in the oven and cook for 60 minutes, checking at 50 minutes (test using a wooden toothpick, it should come out clean).
Let cool, then it is ready to enjoy!
